Jim Hoagland is a documentary photographer focused on the relationship between people and place. His work explores everyday life through observation—seeking out moments that reveal the character, complexity, and quiet details of the environments we inhabit.
He is currently developing the What Exit Project, an ongoing photographic exploration of New Jersey through the 18 exits of the Turnpike, documenting the communities, industries, and lives shaped by the road.
Alongside his photography, Jim has held senior leadership roles in global consumer businesses, bringing a perspective shaped by international experience, industry, and the movement of goods and people across regions. He currently serves as Vice Chairman at Ito En (North America) and is a Board Director at Frontier Co-op.
